Holy fucking shit. Algiers was out of this world last night at Berlin. The band ripped through songs from their new album, The Underside of Power, shaking the windows up on Avenue A. The band sounded better than ever, directing their cacophany like classical composers. They could hit us like a sledgehammer or whisper in our ears. The walls shook, frontman Franklin James Fisher roared and the band made the smallest stage in New York City feel like Madison Square Garden. The new music is phenomenal. I can’t wait to hear it again when drops on The Underside of Power releases on June 23rd. Check out everything Algiers over here.
